Setting up an Amazon AWS AccountBefore you can do anything on Amazon's cloud, you need to create an AWS (Amazon Web Services) account for yourself.
Note that this requires you to enter your credit card details and a cellular phone number.
Amazon were generous to give us 100$ of credit for each student to experiment with their various cloud services. This should be more than enough for all the assignments in the course and more. However, keep in mind that if you run out of the 100$ you got for free, any extra cloud usage will get deducted from your credit card. Keep an eye for your computer time and money.
In order to setup the accountGo here, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once the account is created, you can load it with your Amazon credits. In order to do so, you need to get a pass-code from us. Please email Jumana (jumanan AT cs bgu ac il) from your cs.bgu.ac.il or post.bgu.ac.il email address to get your code. In the subject of the mail write: DSP152:Pass-Code. In the body of the mail, state your name together with your partner's name, each group should send a single email. Once you have your code, go here, enter the code, click "Redeem" and follow the instructions.
