Call For Papers
Second Workshop on Self-Stabilizing Systems (WSS 95)
University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), May 28-29, 1995
Sponsored by the Department of Computer Science, UNLV
Following the successful Workshop on Self-Stabilizing Systems in MCC, Austin
(1989), the Second Workshop on Self-Stabilizing Systems will be held in Las
Vegas in 1995 (immediately before the 27th Annual ACM Symposium on Theory of
Computing). The workshop provides a forum for the presentation of new research
results and the identification of future results in this area.
It is an opportunity to gather researcher interested in the nowadays rapidly
growing area of self-stabilizing systems.
Scope
Papers are solicited describing original results in all areas of
self-stabilization including, but not restricted to:
- Self-stabilizing distributed algorithms, deterministic or randomized
- Techniques for the design and analysis of Self-stabilizing algorithms
- Impossibility results and lower bounds for self-stabilizing systems
- Self-stabilizing networks including high-speed and mobile networks
- Self-stabilizing real-time distributed systems
- Self-stabilizing synchronization
- Self-stabilizing algorithms that cope with permanent faults
Submissions
Intended contributors are invited to submit 7 copies of papers to the Program
Committee chair. Submissions must not exceed 15 pages with roughly 35
lines/page. Submissions not conforming with these guidelines may not be
considered. Please include e-mail, fax/telephone number of contact author.
An e-mail message acknowledging the arrival of the submission will be sent.
A Technical Report of the University of Nevada Las Vegas will be dedicated
for the proceedings, and will be distributed at the Workshop (a small fee
will be charged). The
Chicago
Journal of Theoretical Computer Science
will publish a special issue based on papers presented at the workshop.
