Knowledge Discovery in Databases at BGU-CS
(*UNDER CONSTRUCTION*)
We are embarking on a KDD venture, including both basic research, and
developing a prototype system. The system will incorporate research efforts
from two research groups, as follows:
-
Handling of databases, visualizing databases,
learning associations, and automatic generation
of Bayesian Knowledge Bases (BKB). This group is headed by Dr. Ehud Gudes,
and includes Dr. Solomon Eyal Shimony and several research assistants.
- Creating data abstractions, meta-queries, and earning decision trees.
This group involves Dr. Michael Codish, Dr. Rachel Ben-Eliahu and
also includes work carried out by Dr. Eyal Shimony.
Theoretical aspects of our projects include both manual and automatic
creation and
reasoning in BKBs. Implementation of modules of the
system are also under way (details in
progress report).
As they become operational, various features of our system will
become available for
on-line access.
