Comments for the next exercises: READ CAREFULLY!

1. In order to prevent your next works from being ignored due to submission errors, make sure you type in your name and ID at the header of each file.

2. The filename you submit should be your ID number, NOT including initial zero and INCLUDING final digit (8 digits in all)

Example: 31892335_1.cpp

If you would like to REsubmit – do it under the same filename, just add a revision code (a,b,c, etc.)

Example: 31892335_1a.cpp

Bad submit, means lower grade … (applicable to next works).

3. Take the time to read the "guide to writing better source code". Many lose points for not following those simple and basic guidelines written in there.

4. It is a good thing to check your programs in all imaginable (and unimaginable) cases. Try thinking of cases where your code might fail, like checking for input validation etc. (It’s my job to look for those cases – try getting there before I do).

5. Any questions regarding your grades can be submitted to this e-mail:

6. Be aware that any appeal may end in a grade change, for better or for WORSE, so go over your file thoroughly before sending an appeal! Do not appeal over 5 points!

The following table explains the grading system we use so each of you can

see for what reason the grade was lowered:

8	Late submission “(nºdays)x5”	5% per day
9	Compiling & Submitting ERRORS!!!	>60%
10	Go to Mr. Sicsic to get your grade !	-

( >30% meaning up to 30%)

Some observations to this work:

If your grade was lowered because of “3 – Algorithm”, it means your program doesn’t work well. You should:

1. Run the program and check it

2.Check the inputs given in the exercise (Assginment 2)

3. Check for even more rational possibilities: 1 2 3 4 5 6 is NOT an hexagon!!!!

4. Check the output is correct

5. If you still think your program runs well, don’t send an appeal J

· Please, send the next works correctly… so we wont need to lower you points on submitting.

· If you don’t have a grade … we didn’t get your file!!!!!!!!!!
