The grades for mo'ed b can be found in the submission system. The notebooks and grading forms will be at the secretariat only tomorrow (2/8).

I will hold office hours for mo'ed B at my office (37/205) today (Sunday) from 13:00 to 15:00. Due to personal reasons, I cannot guarantee holding office hours at a different time. If you have questions regarding the coming exam, make all efforts to come at this time! Guy.

For those of you who are contemplating if to take mo'ed B or not, here is what to expect to in mo'ed B:

• The level of skill and understanding that is required to get a good grade in mo'ed B is the same as for mo'ed A: Similar topics, same standards.
• At the public's request, mo'ed B is composed of several unrelated questions.
• Mo'ed B is longer then mo'ed A and its time limit is 3 hours.

Here is the outlined solution for mo'ed A. This solution is solely for the purpose of studying for mo'ed B. It is not a canonical solution and does not cover all possible correct or incorrect answers.

Guy's office hours will be held today from around 14:00 to 16:00.

My office hours on 25/7/10 are cancelled, and I won't be available from 22/7 untill moed Bet. The office hours on 18/7 take place as usual.

The grades for mo'ed A can be found at the submission system, and are also submitted to the faculty. Notice that the final grade calculation includes a 2 points factor to your exam grade, but this factor does not appear on the exam itself. Reminder: The formula for the grade is

• Ex.1 4%
• Ex.2 20%
• Ex.3 10%
• Ex.4 6%
• Exam 60%

Taking into account both your homework and exam, the grades this year were above the average - well done!

For those of you who missed mo'ed A and like to prepare for mo'ed B, here is the exam form.

In regular inheritance the vtable of the derived class contains an entery for each virtual function of the derived class and its ancestors.
In multiple inheritence, when a derived class C inherits from two base classes A and B, its vtable consists of two tables:
The first table is similar to the case when C inhersits only from A.
The second table is similar (except for minor changes concerning delta, as explained in Lecture 9a) to the case when C inherits only from B.
The acsess to methods of the ancestor that are overriden in the derived class is possible hrough casting, or explicit calling, but not through the vtable of the derived class.

Next week I will hold additional office hours on Wednesday, 30/6, 16:00-18:00. These office hours are instead of the office hours on 4/7, which will not take place.

Thanks to a short leave from my reserve duty, I (Guy) can hold special office hours today (Monday) from 15:00 to 18:00.

Unfortunately, there will be no class on Sunday, since that Guy is on reserve duty.

Assignment 4 is published - See the Assignments page. We publish this assignment ahead of its time. The deadline is 18/6.

The deadline of assignment 3 is postponed to 8/6/2010, midnight.

Guy will not hold office hours on the coming Sunday, 30/5. Students who need help in any topic are welcomed to coordinate a meeting by mail. Apologies for the inconvenience.

There was a minor bug in the code of the Delegate meta-class in the slides of class 10b (meta-classes): instead of dlgt(val) it should be dlgt(cls, val). The slides were fixed and uploaded.
