A new version of the exam was posted, with the phrasing of question 2 slightly modified to avoid confusion.

An Exchange object simply supports an exchange operation, which allows to atomically swap the values of any pair of shared variables.

This is to clarify that an exchange operation allows to atomically exchange the values of two shared variables.

An exchange object supports regular read and write operations (on any single shared variable), in addition to exchange operations (on any pair of shared variables).

This is a reminder that the home-exam will be published this coming Thursday, February 16.
