There was a mistake in the dates of project presentations. The correct dates are:

1) May 31st

2) June 7th

on June 14th i will be abroad. The presentations will be in the regular class-room in the class hours.

The prersentation is about 15-18mins and should include a short description of the algorithm, description of the datasets, discussion of the pre-processing you plan to do(discretization, feature selection, etc.) and discussion of expected results

The order of the presentations is arbitrary (you may switch between you) and is as follows:

May 31st - first six projects from the list I published June 7th - next six projects from the list I published

I put in the site the project selection list. It may contain some errors. please check and report any errors to me.

since the project selection process is not completed, we will have a project selection meeting monday 26/4 at 14.00 in class. one representative from each project mist attend ehud gudes

once you have finalized your project selection please send me an email with your names, t.z. title and few lines description of the project for my own records

project presentations (this mean an overview of the project and the algorithms that will be used, clearly not the results yet) will be scheduled on June 1st and June 8th and maybe on June 15th. When the time approaches please send me an email on your selected day, otherwise i will decide myself. presentation will be about 30mins.

The requirements are quite flexible, especially if you use your OWN database and algorithm. If you use the datasets from the UC irvine site then you should use two datasets and two algorithms: either both implemented by you or one by you and one by Weka and compare between them. If you implement two algorithms they may be quite similar, e.g. two clustering algorithms. The Weka option where you implement only one algorithm is easier in my opinion. ehud gudes
