It was cold in Yosemite!

Nothing quite says “long international flight” like looking at your watch and wandering if it is 9:00 AM or 9:00 PM. I’m back home now, somewhat jet-legged, but fine. I can coop with that. I accepted coffee as a part of my metabolism a long time ago.

The peak of our west-coast tour was going to the Yosemite park. I mean “peak” literally, because we did the 4-miles trail: A steep climb to Glacier Point. The view was amazing (pictures to come soon), and after some rest I can use my legs again.

One the down side, is was cold in Yosemite. It was about 8°C by day and -5°C by night. We, Mediterranean guys, are not really used to these temperatures. We were so cold that we considered leaving the food out on purpose and cuddle with the bears when they come to get it (Note to self: Reading the temperature in Fahrenheit doesn’t make it warmer). It was supposed to be warmer, but “climate is what you expect, weather is what you get”.

So, if you’re planning to go to Yosemite, remember that faith and an arctic sleeping-bag will keep you warmer then just faith. We had to learn it the hard way.
