About My Work
My interests lie in the area of automated planning, decision automation,
probabilistic expert systems, reinforcement learning, and process
automation. They encompass different tasks that allow a system (or an
agent) to perform some of its tasks in an automatic or autonomous manner.
More technically, my academic research spans areas such as classical and
decision-theoretic planning and decision-making, preference modeling and
preference elicitation, preference-based optimization, agent models, and
(multi-agent) reinforcement-learning. My consulting work involves business
process automation and integration, real-time event monitoring and
analysis, user interfaces for e-commerce, and algorithms for autonomous
exploration for NASA's rovers. See my research
overview for more details.
