Current research interest: My current research is in theoretical and applied computational vision, with additional emphasis on interdisciplinary approach involving also visual psychophysics, human perception, and computational neuroscience of the visual system. Specific theoretical and interdisciplinary topics include:

  • Computational, psychophysical, and phenomenological aspects of perceptual organization (e.g., texture segmentation).
  • Computational, psychophysical, and phenomenological aspects of color vision.
  • 3D Shape inference.
  • The (primary) visual cortex as a computational machine.
  • Computational and behavioral aspects of visual attention and eye movements.

Are you a prospective graduate (PhD or MSc) student interested in a graduate program in computer vision? Please come by to hear about several research topics I currently suggest.

Are you a 3rd/4th year undergraduate student interested in a senior project in computer vision? I offer several such projects with a research flavor. Please contact me for details.
