Call for Participation
Vision, and computational aspects of vision, are multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research areas
that many members of our BGU comminuty are involved with, either directly or indirectly.
The BGU Vision Day is an attempt tp bring together these researchers to discuss, share, and exchange ideas
in order to facilitate interaction and cross-disciplinary collaboration within the university and
as a mean to expose students to the different facets of the field.
Presentations of original research are invited in the broad range of vision research areas with computational flavor,
including, but not limited to, machine vision, human perception, computational neuroscience of biological vision,
and applications. Due to its interdisciplinary nature, presenters are asked to prepare their presentations
to audience of different backgrounds and assume no deep prior knowledge in any particular aspect of vision.
Emphasis of interdisciplinary aspects and collaborative opportunities are greatly encouraged.
Your participation is very important and we encourage you to distribute this call to faculty
and students in your department, center, or school.
We do ask you to register so we are
able to estimate the number of participants for proper handling the logistics.
Please refer to the workshop web site at
http://www.cs.bgu.ac.il/~ben-shahar/Events/BGUVD2006/
for additional information and news.
The 2006 Vision Day will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2006.
We hope we can count on your participation toward a successful and constructive event.
