Mini Project - Semester B - 2003


Description of the course

The course is a mini-project.
The work is in 3-4 students groups, the groups receive a project which includes two different parts:
  • Designing , construction, and programming of a new simulator for the PatoWorld.
  • Designing , construction, and programming of a team (group of agents) that implements the new simulator.
  • The project involves quite a bit of real-time programming and Artificial Intelligence issues.
  • Details of the domain and the agent are HERE.
  • Examples of SERVER and CLIENT
    programs.

Class hours: Tuesday 8-10.

Requirements:
  • Attendance of initial 2-3 sessions.
  • Participation in all events.
  • Timely submission of reports and partial products.
  • Timely submission of the final project.

Schedule:
  • Weeks 1-3: Introduction to material, team formation (10%).
  • Weeks 7: First presentation of the new simulator and a single agent(20%).
  • Week 12-13: Final presentation of the new simulator and the team(70%).


Credits: 2 (for participation + 125-150 work-hour project p. student).

  • Artificial intelligence literature, e.g. Russell and Norvig.
  • Papers about the theme.
  • Definitions of the Patoworld.
