Overview Robocup is a competitive event that promotes the integration between AI and robotics research. The first Robocup was held in 1997 and the most recent in August 2001 in Seattle. There are many competitions in the event, but we are interested in the Soccer Simulation League. The game takes place on a software server, and the individual players are each controlled by separate programs. Fourty-four teams participated in the last tournament. The implementation of a team is a challenge for any AI or robotics research.
The project requirments:
  1. Learn and understand the Robot Soccer Server manual.
  2. Implementation of a team (a simple algorithm for cooperative play).
  3. We will evaluate the program perfomance in a game against other teams.
