Grading key

Question 2.

There are several ways that students tried to approach the solution, and a lot of various errors. So I see it difficult to cover all cases by a single formal grading key.

Question 4a:

- reduction to flows in a bypartite graph - 1,

- right left and right parts - 2*1,

- right edges between the parts - 1,

- right condition on existence of the solution - 1.5,

- requirement of an integer maximum flow (necessary for the previous condition) - 2,

- right construction of the lists as required - 1.5,

- proof of the 1st condition - 2,

- proof of the 2nd condition - 2,

- proof that the negative answer is correct - 2.

4b:

- Almost all that chose a reduction to flow answered correctly. - The straightforward (greedy) algorithm for item (a) does not have a generalization to the case of a finite value of e, sorry.

You are welcome to search for answers in other resources such as the internet and books. If you find something you want to use, you can read it, you can quote it and you can rephrase it in your own words. You cannot simply copy it. (It is a waste of your time. What can you possibly learn by copying answers from the Technion site?)

5 out of 6 best assignments
The final assignment grade will be made off 5 out of 6 best assignments. The drawback is that we are going to be much stricter with delay requests.

in other words, normally, you will not gain delay because Moed B and C. You have enough time for the assignments. Plan your schedule carefully.

Can't login to the algo-site?
Some students can't log in to the site.

It is probably due to late registration or changes The system resync the database this morning so it supposed to be OK now.

Students who still have problems can send mail to help@cs.bgu.ac.il with login,id ,course name and course number

Be aware that adding them manually to CS database does not mean that they are registered to the course and that it is their responsibility to make sure they are registered.
