Grading key

Question 2.

There are several ways that students tried to approach the solution, and a lot of various errors. So I see it difficult to cover all cases by a single formal grading key.

Question 4a:

- reduction to flows in a bypartite graph - 1,

- right left and right parts - 2*1,

- right edges between the parts - 1,

- right condition on existence of the solution - 1.5,

- requirement of an integer maximum flow (necessary for the previous condition) - 2,

- right construction of the lists as required - 1.5,

- proof of the 1st condition - 2,

- proof of the 2nd condition - 2,

- proof that the negative answer is correct - 2.

4b:

- Almost all that chose a reduction to flow answered correctly. - The straightforward (greedy) algorithm for item (a) does not have a generalization to the case of a finite value of e, sorry.
